What’s with all the giraffe pictures on Facebook?
I logged on tonight to see a very weird private message on Facebook. I thought it must be a prank and even emailed the writer to see what was up. Then I read the post made by my sister Vicky explaining why she was changing her profile picture on Facebook to that of a baby giraffe. It’s the giraffe challenge, which has gone viral over the past day or two.
If you get the answer write (sent to the poster via private message, not in the comments) you don’t have to do anything, but if you get it wrong you are honor-bound to change your profile the baby giraffe for 3 days.
The Giraffe Challenge
So, here’s the riddle:
3:00am, the doorbell rings and you wake up. Unexpected visitors, it’s your parents, and they are there for breakfast. You have strawberry jam, honey, wine, bread, and cheese. What is the first thing you open?
I was pretty smug when I sent my private message with my answer. Until I thought about it. I’m sure I’ll be changing my profile to the adorable baby giraffe tomorrow too.
(I think the source of the cute image going around is from here: http://www.csindy.com/IndyBlog/archives/2010/11/01/cheyenne-mountain-named-a-top-zoo/ — it was the oldest version of the image I could find using tineye.com )
